We are located in the heart of the village on Mersea Island, the most easterly inhabited island in the British Isles, located 9 miles south of Colchester and less than a 2 hour drive from London.
As the name suggests — we are an island (twice a day, at least!). If you are planning a visit from further afield, please make sure you check the tide times as a high tide may affect your journey.
We have a small amount of dedicated parking, and a pay and display car park with 2 hours free parking just across the street. Local bus numbers 63 and 86 serve the island.
